Meersburg Madonna

This statue is above the entrance to the old city in Meersburg, Germany. It is unusual in combining the iconography of the Immaculate Conception (the crescent moon, the dragon, the cloud) with that of the Madonna and Child. I have seen similar statues in two other places along the Rhine: Glottertal in Baden-Württemberg and Ribeauvillé in Alsace.
